The Digital Networks Group team has provided turnkey technology integration systems for TUSD's five newest schools. The most recent projects were Arnold O. Beckman High School and Hicks Canyon Elementary School, both opened in the fall of 2004. The technology packages have included network infrastructure, network electronics, classroom monitors, plus a video broadcast and content management system. The broadcast system provides standard CATV access, scrolling school news, live morning announcements and interactive video conferencing. The content management system provides educators with on-demand or schedulable resources in numerous media formats. The video system operates over a fiber optics base band network. Control of head end resources is provided over the Ethernet "IP" data network.

These technologies have not only helped the district to share learning resources, but also have promoted student achievement. A NetClear cabling system was chosen for the data infrastructure and it included a 20-year warranty. The network electronics was made up of Hewlett-Packard equipment. In addition, Digital Networks Group designed and installed a complete, state-of-the-art audio-visual system. By using Digital Networks Group for complete turn-key technology, the district was able to save money and minimize project management efforts.
