- A/V and Broadcast Integration.
The scope of work for the City of Irvine Broadcast project was a complete replacement of their existing analog broadcast system with all new digital equipment.
Due to the urgent nature of going live with all council chamber meetings, the project needed to be completed within three weeks.
The broadcast system is based around a Ross QMD live production engine and a Vision1 control panel. The system is broadcasting using a Tightrope Cablecast SX4multi format video server. The system also incorporates a dubbing rack with multiple video formats, a custom control console by Laguna Designs and six Panasonic broadcast cameras. Digital Networks Group is currently working on phase two of this project, which involves integrating the new broadcast system with a revamped Council Chamber AV presentation and voting system. The integration of the two systems will allow presentations by council members and the general public to be fed directly to the broadcast feed as well as be shown on the in house AV system. Likewise, all Camera feeds will be able to be shown on any in house display in addition to their current on air functionalities.
