One of the main challenges at Del Norte High School were the various vaulted ceilings throughout the school which made the installation of the PoleVault Presentation System challenging compared to drop ceiling installations in most common classrooms. Due to the structural designs of the classrooms, which included vaulted open ceilings, it was necessary hide cables in cable ducts, instead of running them more directly above a dropped ceiling, which resulted in longer than usual cable runs. Overall, Digital Networks Group installed over 3000 data- and voice cables, connecting classroom technology in close to 100 classrooms, a theater, a stadium and several mobile AV systems. Bob Gravina, CTO at Poway USD, calls Del Norte High School: "The most technologically advanced school in the nation."

A standard classroom at Del Norte is outfitted with an Interactive Whiteboard (Polyvision Eno or Promethean), an integrated AV presentation system, PoleVault, from Extron, to control all AV equipment in the classroom. In addition to the AV classroom technology, Digital Networks integrated a video conference system from Polycom and an IP security camera system from Axis Communications.

Mike Stammire, President of Digital Networks Group and account executive for Poway USD, about the project:" Digital Networks embraces challenges and our technology integration teams thrive with every challenge. Del Norte is a great example where project challenge and project success played hand in hand."
